Joanne FonsecaJoanne Fonseca
Joanne drives to Lexington from her home every working day.
“It’s a long ride, yes, but it’s worth it.”
   Why?
“Because this place doesn’t feel like work,” she says. “The kids are fun and the work is fun.”
Away from the office, Joanne is busy with a family life that includes her husband Joseph, daughter Kayla, and cat Sadie.
She loves exercising in the gym and is learning to knit under the guidance of Nancy Avallone, another hygenist in Dr. Coppe’s office.
Like me, she’s left-handed,” Joanne explains.
The funniest thing a young patient ever said to her: “I was whistling and this little girl said: ‘Okay, enough! You’re giving me a headache.”
If Joanne were a color, she claims she’d be green.
If she could say one thing to parents it would be: “Candy only once a week.”
And if she had advice for her young patients it would be: “Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know. Just sit and listen and everything’ll be better.”
And what does Joanne think about when she’s brushing her teeth? “Gosh! I brush my teeth so often, I don’t know!”

Julie Adams

Julie Adams
Julie has a pink personality—bright and light—and children have always been her special interest. With an associate’s degree in early childhood education, Julie was putting her training to good use in a child care setting, but Kerri Mullaney, a friend from her hometown of Billerica, had other plans for Julie.
“You know you love kids,” Kerri would say. “Try working with them in the Dr. Coppe’s office.
“Finally I said okay,” Julie remembers.
“I started working here part time and Kerri was right. I loved it!”
Julie got her training on-the-job, but when she isn’t working at Dr. Coppe’s, you might find her in the gym working out on the elliptical cardio machines.
“Make sure they brush twice a day,” is the advice Julie would give parents. It’s the same advice she’d offer kids she says. But she’d also add: “Try to floss.”
