Our Hygienists

Lynne Johnston
Lynne Johnston
Lynne grew up locally and raised her own children there. And while she had some experience working for other dentists, she can’t image being in a dental office that isn’t specifically designed for children—can’t imagine working anyplace that isn’t Dr. Coppe’s—and that’s why she’s been a part of the team for sixteen years.
“I have such respect for the way he works,” she says. “He has such a wonderful personality and style and has created such a great environment.”
“I was the worst dental patient in the world when I was a kid,” she remembers, “and when my own dentist heard I was studying to be a dental hygienist, he was amazed. ‘Why?’” he said. “But I became very comfortable with dental work and I think I’m in a special position to help others become comfortable too.”
Lynne Johnston is a blue balloon person—clean and true. And if parents were looking for Lynne’s advice, this is what they’d hear.
“I’d remind parents that their children should brush twice every and, I’d tell the kids to be very careful about candy.”

Kerri Mullaney

Kerri Mullaney
Kerri was a dental assistant before she started working for Dr. Coppe. “I liked what I was doing, so I decided to further my education and study dental hygiene. But it wasn’t until I came to Dr. Coppe’s office—until I started working with kids—that I felt I’d found my niche.”
What is there about working with kids?
“Oh their personalities!” Kerri exclaims. “They bring out the kid in me!”
Kerri finds time twice a week to attend kickboxing classes.
Music? Kerri claims she likes all kinds. Asked to finish the sentence “When I brush my teeth I ...” she responds: “look in the mirror.”
If she had the chance to counsel parents, Kerri would explain the need for the dental staff to interact with each child, one-on-one. “Let them give their own answers,” she’d say, “Give them the chance to grow.”
If she were a balloon, she’d be a purple balloon. “I just think purple is pretty.”
