The Way We Work

About your first visit ...
Our first visit is a “get acquainted” visit. This
means we will examine and clean your child’s teeth and apply
a topical fluoride solution. However, if the cleaning or fluoride
treatment is not accepted easily, we will defer these to a later
appointment rather than create an unpleasant memory of your child’s
first dental experience.

How
you can be a valuable partner in your child’s successful
dental experience ...
Normally, it is better for the child if the parent is not in
the treatment room. With the absence of the parent, the doctor
and the child are able to develop a good, sound relationship
and cooperation invariably follows. If, for some specific reason,
we should ask you to be in the room or if you feel you should
accompany your child, your presence will be greatly enhanced
if you assume the role of "silent observer." If more
than one person is talking or directing, the child tends to
become confused. Naturally, we do not want this to happen.
When to schedule the appointment ...
In his thirty years of practice, Dr. Coppe has found that
younger children tend to have a better experience with morning
appointments. Additionally, all restorative work is done prior
to 2:30.
Paying the bill ...
Payment for service is required at each visit unless other
arrangements are made. If you have dental insurance we will
submit the necessary forms for you at no charge. We will assist
you in every way possible to help you collect your benefits.
However, the final financial responsibility for your account
rests with you. |
